We visited Nimantran Family Bar and Restaurant in Belapur (Navi Mumbai) last weekend. We were more than pleased to have opted for it given the array of restaurants in Belapur. For the guys it was a bonus since the restaurant had LCDs and we reached during a twenty-twenty match.
Well, it was the first time we visited sector 15 of Belapur that's literally garnished with a great variety of restaurants. If I am not wrong there must be at least 15 of them (oh is it why they call it sector '15'?). Anyways, here's the review of Nimantran Family Bar and Restaurant that you must visit:
The menu and the food: The menu is elaborate with decent variety for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The mocktails are amazing, we ordered a mango mocktail and a strawberry one and loved them both. Contrary to Mrinal and Ravi who ordered large pegs of Smirnoff and guess what the waiter poured some water too even before they could ask him to stop!!! Damn the vodka tasted horrible. Me and Pallavi were happy to have non-alcoholic drinks :). For main course, we had a Triple Schezwan that was one of the best I've ever had. Perfect presentation and a treat to the taste buds. The guys opted for chicken lollypop in starters that was good. They had naans with chicken main course and until the end Ravi was doubtful about the meat (I think he was sure that it was anything but chicken) though the manager assured us otherwise. All in all, the girls made better choice with the menu ;)
The rates: The rates are moderate. With the above dishes and 4 large pegs of vodka, our bill came to around Rs 1600.
Service and staff: The service is a bit slow but not disappointing. The staff is okay.
Washroom: I always believe that if the washrooms of a restaurant / hotel are separate for men and women, clean and with all the necessary amenities, the hotel is good and maintains complete hygiene. The washroom is neat.
Nimantran Family Bar and Restaurant Rating: I would give the restaurant 3 on 5 (assuming that the chicken dish indeed had chicken)!
